From a dog who loves to go for walks in the rain to a border collie and horse that are the best of friends, there has been lots of adorable viral pet content this week.

We've also been putting together our weekly Pet of the Week with pictures and videos of our readers' pets.

If you want your pet to be part of next week's line-up, follow the instructions at the end of this story to get involved.

This week's Pet of the Week is 5-year-old rescue dog Maze who has an amazing trick—she can smile for the camera.

Maze, who survived the deadly canine parvovirus or parvo disease, has developed an adorable trick. When prompted to smile, she bares her teeth for the camera in what looks like a grin.

Maze's owner Victoria shared the video where she gives the camera a big smile.

While not all dogs do it, they can "smile." When dogs pull back their lips and expose their teeth, like Maze in the video, this can stem from puppy behavior.

Puppies will sometimes "grin" like this as a submissive behavior, and dogs may retain this ability as a way to tell someone around them "I mean no harm."

Finalists

Our first finalists this week are cat siblings Louis, Precious, Princess and Josie.

Now aged 14, the eldest cat Louis recently got a blueberry and cream sucker from his mom for his birthday. "It's one of his favorite treats," said owner Angel Hope.

In another picture, Precious was caught trying to break into a bottle of cheese balls.

"My babies are so very smart and talented," Hope told Newsweek. "Josie knows how to turn his sink on and off. They are all very independent, but when one wants attention no matter what you stop and do it."

Next up this week is Bubba, a "St Berdoodle" or St Bernard and poodle mix, whose owner Melissa told Newsweek is a "true showstopper."

With his incredible curly coat, Bubba often captures attention online. "Can't go anywhere without being stopped and giving people smiles. It's truly incredible," said Melissa.

A loving boy who is barely away from his owner's side, Melissa said: "The most beautiful thing about this boy is the smiles he brings everyone he crosses paths with....even people who aren't dog people."

Last but not least this week is Truffles, a toy chihuahua who is a huge part of her owner's life.

After being hospitalized for a seizure, Denise Michaels was approached by a neighbor who knew of a puppy that had been abandoned.

With no chip or owner to claim her, Truffles was looking for a home, and knowing she needed some support, Michaels' neighbor introduced them.

"She's a true blessing. She watches me carefully and makes sure that I'm doing ok," Michaels told Newsweek. "I love Truffles with my whole heart!"
