A list of favorite baby names from a woman without kids has gone viral.

The poster, who goes by @lextherexxx on TikTok, shared her list of female names on the platform on May 30. The unique names, which spanned from Monroe to Amethyst, sparked discussion in the comments section of the post, which has been viewed more than 2.3 million times.

"I am child-free by choice, but I do think that my baby name list is elite," the woman, from San Diego, California, said. "I'm going to share this with the internet, because if I'm not going to use them, someone else can.

"They're pretty unique names and probably ones that you haven't heard in a while, but they're not so unique that they're going to freak people out or have your kid made fun of," the woman added.

The list included Melrose, which the woman branded usable yet still unique, and Zaya, which she called a certified "cool girl" name.

"I see this girl; she's in her 20s, she collects records, and she goes to jazz shows at night," the creator said.

She then moved on to the names Dahlia, Guinevere, Avalon and Emerald. The woman, who had captioned the post, "let me name your babies," said that she has always been obsessed with baby names and spent plenty of time discussing name options with her sister who has children.

Her vast selection has sparked discussion online, with the post garnering more than 5,400 comments on her taste in names.

"I think it's funny you did not bring up the Toyota Avalon for that name," one user, @jennatokk, wrote.

Another, @mikaylajackson820, added: "I have a Dahlia and we do get asked about the Black Dahlia quite a bit." Their comment refers to the 1947 murder of the 22-year-old actress Elizabeth Short in California, a case that has never been solved.

"This is the first video like this I've actually liked most of the names," a third user, @your.typical.thembo, shared.

Another, @jade_and_the_animals, posted: "Dahlia will forever be associated with the crime I think. The minute you said it, that's what I thought."

The woman made clear in the post that she is more interested in baby girl names, but that she also has a list of those for boys that she is willing to share if anyone asks for it.
