Numerous social media users have excitedly discovered presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris' merchandise collection featuring Pride-themed mugs, T-shirts and stickers.

Available on her campaign's official website, these new products include designs that aim to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, with mugs adorned by images of Harris in brightly colored suits reflecting various pride flags.

Among the standout items are the "trans pride flag mug" and the "bi pride flag mug." The trans pride mug features Harris in a suit of blue, pink, and white, mirroring the trans pride flag, while the bi pride mug shows her in a pink, purple, and blue ensemble. The designs have also been printed on T-shirts and stickers, ranging from $6 to $32.

Videos on TikTok sharing pictures of Harris' new LGBTQ+ merchandise have gained millions of views and comments from viewers, while many have also taken to X to share their reactions to the pride mugs, stickers and t-shirts from the Harris campaign. On Wednesday more than 1,100 LGBTQ+ celebrities, lawmakers and leaders signed a letter endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential run. The letter included signatures from actors Billy Eichner and Sophia Bush, Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Delaware state Sen. Sarah McBride.

In a statement announcing the signatories, Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson said: "For decades, Vice President Kamala Harris has dedicated her life to working toward this future for America, fighting hate crimes, supporting LGBTQ+ families, and advancing justice for all. That future is possible when we show up for our pro-equality champion Kamala Harris.

"We have the opportunity to vote for the future we want. A future where each of us is treated with the dignity and respect we deserve. A future that is safer and better for everyone. A future with equality and freedom for all."

Newsweek has reached out to Harris' team via email for comment.

Her commitment to LGBTQ+ rights dates back to her early career as a district attorney in San Francisco where she officiated some of the nation's first same-sex marriages in 2004.

As California attorney general in 2008, Harris refused to defend Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment that banned same-sex marriage in the state. She would officiate the first same-sex marriage in California once Proposition 8 was overturned by the courts.

During an annual pride event in 2023, Harris lambasted Republican lawmakers behind newly introduced state laws that impact transgender people, like those that restrict transgender health care, sports participation and bathroom use.

Harris labeled the lawmakers behind these bills "so-called leaders, these extremists who are trying to do an abrupt, backward march." Emphasizing the need to expand rights rather than restrict them, she said "a measure of progress is the expansion of rights, not the restriction of rights."

She has also at times faced criticism, for instance for working to block a trans woman from receiving gender-affirming surgery in prison, when she was attorney general in 2015.

On social media, people have shared their excitement about the products from TikTok videos of excited reactions to bi pride mugs to comments on X about the LGBTQ+ positive designs.

"I found progressive merch. Gay, Bi, Trans all supported on cups—Kamala in different color pantsuits to depict the various groups. This is a big deal," @SLynnry posted on X.

While @InfernallyBLUE wrote: "I saw this and just hit maximum tears. My VP is running WITH a rainbow! Never knew it was possible to be here."

A recent YouGov poll highlighted Harris' strengths, when compared to former President Donald Trump, on issues around LGBTQ+ rights, abortion, the environment, health care and education.

In April, a progressive polling firm found that 22 percent of nearly 900 LGBTQ+ adults had a favorable view of Trump. That same month, former first lady Melania Trump hosted a fundraiser with conservative LGBTQ+ group Log Cabin Republicans. In 2020, Trump earned 14 percent of the LGBTQ+ vote.
