A musician who has made a name for himself by serenading celebrities and public figures has gone viral after surprising Vice President Kamala Harris.

Harry Daniels, 20, has become an online sensation by sharing clips of himself singing for the likes of Katy Perry, Anne Hathaway and even President Joe Biden.

In April, the Long Island native managed to track down Harris, and he chose to use his few seconds with her to sing none other than Beyoncé.

On July 22, Daniels posted the clip, which he recorded during the weekend of the White House Correspondents' Dinner, for the first time. The video shows Daniels taking his moment as Harris walks down a corridor with her entourage.

As he belts out Beyoncé's "Formation," the vice president stops and stares at him. Looking surprised but smiling, she waits until he's finished before she tells him, "Very nice to meet you," while laughing.

When she walks away, she can be heard saying, "Who is that guy?"

The video has racked up 1.7 million likes since Daniels posted it on his @harry.daniels TikTok account.

He told Newsweek that he wanted to "rile up the K Hive"—a play on the name used for Beyoncé fans, the Beyhive.

Harris, who became the 2024 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee in July, has used a different Beyoncé track, "Freedom," as part of her campaign for the presidency, after the musician granted her the rights.

The 2016 hit was used in a Harris campaign ad, though Beyoncé has not officially endorsed Harris for the presidency.

Daniels said that while he was slightly nervous before singing for the vice president, he's "done this so many times" that his "nerves have begun to dissipate" the more he does it.

He called serenading public figures "a fun party gag," which has now become his "full-time job."

As for Harris' reaction, he said, "She handled it really well and was really sweet."

He added that their entire interaction could be seen in the brief clip he shared to his account. Daniels, who did not say where the serenade took place, said he was "grateful for all the attention the video has gotten and that [he] was able to entertain all the viewers."

"It means I'm doing great at my job," he continued.

The singer wrote in the video's text overlay, "Even Kamala was stanning my singing," adding in the caption, "The devil works hard but Harry Daniels works harder."

TikTok users couldn't believe what they were seeing, with one writing, "How does one casually meet Kamala Harris?"

"HOW DO YOU GET INTO THESE SPACES?" another said.

Daniels told Newsweek that his method of catching public figures and singing for them "started pretty organically," as he would meet his favorite celebrities at signings or meet and greets and use the opportunity to sing for them.

"For each video and over time, the dynamics really began to shift," he said, recalling his favorite interaction: the time when rapper Doja Cat, whom he called one of his heroes, recognized him as he sang for her.

Since Biden announced that he was dropping out of the race for reelection on July 21, Harris has emerged as the front-runner to face former President Donald Trump on November 5.

Harris, 59, has been endorsed by Biden, former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. A Morning Consult poll of 11,538 registered voters conducted between July 26 and 28 found that 50 percent had a favorable view of Harris, while 46 percent of those polled had an unfavorable view.

On Daniels' TikTok video, a viewer said of Harris' response, "She hit you with that laugh," while another wrote, "Bro just casually singing to Kamala."
