A couple has spoken to Newsweek about how they overcome an argument, after sharing astonishing footage captured by their Ring doorbell which showed them resolving a row.
The security camera clip went viral after it was posted to TikTok by Noah Dankocsik and Lorialle Haynes (@noahandlori), who have been together for six years. It has received more than 390,000 likes.
In the caption Dankocsik, 30, and Haynes, 32, wrote that their love battery after the conflict had gone from empty to full in "a few easy steps."
"Do you feel it? It's getting closer, huh?" Haynes says in the video, referring to the resolution of the argument. "We're getting closer to being back in love again."
"I love drawing attention to it," Dankocsik replied through laughter.
Haynes told Newsweek that while the couple creates content together, they weren't aware they were being recorded in this moment, nor were they thinking of social media as they were arguing.
"It wasn't until the next morning, Noah came to me laughing because he looked at our Ring camera and saw our interaction from the night prior," she said. "Even though it didn't capture the first few parts of our dialogue we thought it was so funny and just had to share it."
The argument itself, she said, was the culmination of both of their long, hard days.
"We had one of those arguments where we were both hungry, had difficult days, and in turn ended up being short and snippy with each other," she said. "There wasn't a specific reason other than we both weren't in the best head space and ended up taking it out on each other."
When the pair realized they were entering conflict, they took some time apart and had dinner. Afterward, Dankocsik suggested they go out for a "sweet little treat." And, it turned out, there was nothing like a bit of sugar to break the ice.
"On the car ride home, we both started feeling better and as soon as we parked, I started talking about how I feel like we are coming out of it," she said. "After the Ring video, we both apologized fully as well."
'Two married best friends'
The video is an apt representation of the couple, who have been together for six years and married for two-and-a-half.
Haynes said the two have fun together every day.
"We describe our relationship as 'two married best friends,' and we try to always live by that," she said. "We are each other's favorite person."
Being so supportive of each other as best friends and partners, Haynes said the love they have for each other shows itself especially in their ways of managing conflict.
"We do our best to take care of each other in every way to make sure we are strong individually and as a couple," she said. "Noah expressed that he loves how supportive I am of everything he does … I absolutely love how patient and understanding Noah is.
"He never shames me for any of my feelings or actions and always reminds me that we are team, no matter what."
