Animals on the farm usually have a vital role to perform, but not Evie the deaf pit bull, who instead loves distracting other animals from their own tasks.

Evie was thrown out of a moving car at 8 weeks old, but she was fortunately saved by Valley of The Sun Dog Rescue. She was fostered by farm owner Allison Thomison, who fell in love with the dog and decided to keep her.

While she may have found her forever home on a working farm, Evie doesn't do any work. Thomison shared a hilarious clip to TikTok of the pit bull causing "nothing but chaos," and joked to Newsweek that the dog is "purely ornamental."

"On the farm, she causes chaos by playing with the cows, chasing the goats, making friends with mangy cats and tries to play with packs of coyotes," Thomison, of Pearce, Arizona, said.

"She loves kids and loves other animals, and she especially loves to run beside the big dogs. She can't hear a thing, so her whole world is visual. She watches planes in the sky, notices when the leaves start to change, and makes note of every single rock, twig, plant on the farm."

The deaf pup seems to think she's helping, but don't be fooled—she really isn't.

Evie loves to fill her day with variety, whether that's by copying the calves, attempting to drink directly from a cow's udder or even stealing snacks from the children. Regardless, Thomison says the dog loves the attention and was "born to be a star."

She continued: "We don't consider Evie to be disabled, we consider her differently abled. Her job on the farm is to spread joy and teach the animals that they can trust our dogs, and she does amazing at it."

The Social Media Reaction

One thing that Evie does successfully is put a smile on people's faces.

The video has delighted social media users, gaining more than 490,000 views and over 90,000 likes on TikTok in just a matter of days.

Referring to the captions over the clip, one viewer wrote: "I now aspire to be described as 'she is purely ornamental, she is chaos & every animal is a friend to her.'"

Another wrote: "She's the personality hire!!!"

And a third TikToker said: "Officially obsessed with her. More Evie content please!!"

The internet is certainly obsessed with Evie's antics, but her owner also hopes it will show people just how wonderful it can be to rescue a deaf animal.

"Deaf dogs, let alone deaf pit bulls, hardly stand a chance of adoption when they're in shelters. I hope people will consider opening their hearts to a special needs dog," Thomison said.

"People shouldn't be scared of a deaf dog, either. Evie sees the world in a way that we could never understand, but she is the happiest animal I have ever experienced. Everyone could learn a thing or two from Evie."
