The moment Miley hears the word "mommy," she springs into action, dashing towards the living room door where her mom is just about to walk in.

Unable to hide her enthusiasm, Miley leaps up repeatedly, trying to catch a glimpse of her mom through the glass. The sheer joy radiating from Miley is palpable as she waits for the door to open.

When her mom finally steps inside, Miley bounds into her arms, tail wagging and body wriggling with happiness. Miley's mom scoops up the gray Staffy, showering her with affection.

Staffordshire bull terriers like Miley are known for their affectionate and loving nature. According to the American Kennel Club, these dogs form incredibly strong bonds with their families and are often described as "nanny dogs" because of their gentle disposition around children.

Dogs often pine for their owners when they are away, displaying behaviors that show just how much they miss their human companions. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) explains that many dogs can experience separation anxiety when left alone, manifesting in behaviors like pacing, barking, or destructive activities.

Miley's overwhelming excitement is a clear indication of just how much she missed her mom during their time apart.

Dogs get so excited when their beloved owners return, not only because they miss them, but because of the sensory overload triggered upon their arrival.

The scent, sounds, and presence of their beloved human trigger a rush of happiness and relief, making every reunion a special event, according to TrustedHousesitters, a house sitting blog.

Facebook users couldn't get enough of Miley's joyous reaction.

"Omg I love this! It was the super happy jump for me when she saw mom's face in the glass," commented Jamie Reynolds-Abdenour.

Terri Slade added: "So lovable if they have been raised with love and respect."

Jennifer Poskey shared her own experience: "Harli LOVES to talk to me when I get home! She is a HUGE momma's girl."

Others echoed the sentiment, with Mel Gratton saying: "This is what I miss most about not having a dog. They're more pleased to see you than anybody else."

Jynnifer Hubbard humorously remarked: "Love this! My dog is the same way, but he makes a sound like he's been hit by a car...lol. I have to calm him down. People will come out looking. It's crazy. Even if I leave for 10 minutes...I love him though."
