Looking to downsize your living area without compromising on outdoor space and a luxurious chic design? Homebuyers won't need to look any further than Amazon, where you can buy a custom-built entire "luxury villa" home.

The retailer is currently selling a triangle-shaped prefabricated tiny cottage home, measuring 20-foot by 20-foot. The heat-insulated "flexible and movable" home comes with one or two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, a Jacuzzi and bathroom, as well as outdoor deck area, according to its listing on Amazon.

The Triangle House, sold by Trekker Tiny Homes, is available from $47,999, according to the listing. The exact price for the tiny home varies, depending on its custom design, as it is "available in various sizes and finishes to suit individual preferences and needs," according to the listing notes.

Prefabricated houses, or modular homes, are constructed at an off-site facility rather than at the property where the home will be located permanently. After its sections, or modules, are constructed off-site, they are transported to the property for assembly.

"Once the modules are assembled, a modular home looks like any other house," says the Modular Home Builders Association.

Custom-built tiny homes, which typically measure around 100 to 400 square feet, have been a popular solution for those looking for a simpler lifestyle with lower costs and reduced environmental impact.

Just over half of Americans (53 percent) would consider living in a home that is 600 square feet or smaller, according to a 2018 survey by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). More than one in 10 (12 percent) said they'd prefer a smaller home following the COVID-19 pandemic in a March 2021 report by the NAHB.

The latest forecast from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) found that 4.71 million existing homes are expected to be sold in 2024, marking a 13.5 percent rise from the 4.1 million anticipated in 2023.

The aforementioned luxury tiny home on Amazon has been built with a "durable construction to withstand various weather conditions," its listing describes, featuring a roof system made with a steel structure, a steel sheet with a thickness of 0.42mm and 50mm-thick PU foam (polyurethane foam—a special material used for thermal insulation).

The life span of the home, which comes with varying degrees of waterproof, fire resistant and typhoon resistant qualities, "can reach over 50 years," the listing states.

"Its modular nature allows for easy disassembly, transportation, and reassembly at a new location," the listing says.
