Donald Trump used his time rallying in Pennsylvania, a key swing state, to call Vice President Kamala Harris a “dumb person”, Whoopi Goldberg “demented” and mock Senator Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday evening.
In a ranting speech, Trump complained about Harris calling her “not smart” and claiming President Joe Biden looks “sharper” than her. He also spent some time attacking critics like Goldberg and Warren.
Trump asserted that his comments about women do not impact how voters feel about him claiming, “I think [women] like me anyway. I think it’s all bulls***. They make it up.”
As usual, the former president launched familiar falsehoods and claims at his rally in Reading, telling supporters he could stop the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and Israel and Gaza because world leaders “fear” him.
Trump’s rally arrives amid the final campaign weeks before Election Day. He has more rallies planned including one in the heart of deep-blue Manhattan.
Exclusive polling for The Independent shows that Republicans are tiring of Trump and much prefer his running mate, JD Vance. The same survey shows voters find Tim Walz more presidential than this GOP rival.
Walz spent Wednesday evening rallying in another key swing state, Arizona.

Trump-endorsed Arizona candidate refers to IVF as ‘UVF'
Kari Lake, the failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate now running for Senate, seemingly referred to the fertility treatment IVF as “UVF” during a debate on Wednesday evening.
“I want to make sure that UVF is protected,” Lake said while debating Democratic Senate candidate Ruben Gallego.
“I have many of my friends who have had children and experienced the joy of motherhood and parenthood because of UVF,” Lake added.
It seems Lake meant to refer to IVF, the popular fertility treatment that Democrats claim Republicans are going to restrict after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that embryos created through IVF were considered humans.
Lake is a vocal ally of Donald Trump repeated similar claims of election fraud after losing the Arizona governor’s race in 2022.

Oklahoma has amended its request for 55,000 school Bibles in classrooms so other versions can meet the requirement for state approval - and not just the one backed by former President Donald Trump.
The request was changed on Monday, removing the requirement that certain US historical documents be included, such as the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, Politico noted.

Ariana Baio10 October 2024 02:48 1728523814Trump launches personal attacks against women
The former president spent much of his Wednesday evening rally attacking his opponents and critics – particularly women.
Repeating familiar remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump claimed she was “not a smart person” and called her “dumb”. He also said President Joe Biden looked “sharper” than Harris – seemingly an insult about Harris’s appearance.
Trump also spent a few minutes ranting about Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who he called “Pocahontas” – a reference to a 2018 controversy about Warren’s claim she is Native American.
Later on, Trump lashed out at Whoopi Goldberg, an actress and host of The View, claiming she was a “disgusting” and “demented” person. Goldberg recently interviewed Harris on her daytime talk show.
Trump addressed the impact of his negative comments about women, telling rallygoers a staffer told him to stop making poor comments about Harris because it would deter women voters.
“I think they like me anyway. I think it’s all bulls***,” Trump said.

Donald Trump’s family business tried to open a luxury hotel in Jerusalem, Israel, according to a report.
The Trump Organization sought a deal last year to open a Trump-branded hotel on the former site of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The New York Times reported.
The former president’s company also looked into transforming a developing skyscraper — near the Israel Defense Forces headquarters — in Tel Aviv into another hotel. Once completed, that building will house the most hotel rooms in the country, the outlet noted.
Kelly Rissman has the story.

Trump spent most of his rally in Pennsylvania ranting about Vice President Kamala Harris, as he does for most rallies.
The former president claimed Harris was “a dumb person” and questioned her intelligence in schools – a claim he has repeated at other rallies to undermine Harris’s credibility.
He also claimed President Joe Biden looked “sharper” than Harris – a dig at the vice president’s looks.
