Flagstone Foods, LLC. is voluntarily recalling packages of glazed walnuts due to undeclared nuts found in the packages.

In a news release posted on grocery store Publix's website, the recalled packages are the 6.5oz Emerald Kettle Glazed Walnuts, with a best of date of June 28, 2025. According to the news release, the reason is due to packages containing "undeclared Peanuts, Almonds, and Pecans."

According to Publix, "An investigation identified a limited number of incorrectly labelled packages were produced during the manufacturing process." Customers who bought the recalled walnut packages are advised to not open them and return the packages to Publix for a full refund.

According to Publix, this recalled product is not available at Publix GreenWise Market locations. Newsweek has reached out to Flagstone Foods via email for additional comment on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, in the month of August, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued recalls for cinnamon, cookies, fish, and other products. Many of the recalls involve undeclared allergens and potential listeria contaminations, the FDA notes.

On August 9, company Too Good Gourmet issued a recall notice for Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip due to undeclared milk. According to the FDA, this recalled product impacted stores in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. Customers with a milk allergy or people who have a "severe" sensitivity may experience a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the cookies, the FDA says.

According to the FDA, on August 8 North Fish USA Inc also issued a recall for their Cold Smoked Capelin product. According to the recall, the issue was "because the product was found to be over 5" in length and uneviscerated, as such having potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum."

The Cold Smoked Capelin was distributed to New York and Georgia with the intent to be further distributed throughout the East Coast. The FDA says Botulism is "a potentially fatal form of food poisoning" that can potentially cause symptoms of weakness, constipation and dizziness.

The Centers for Disease Control is also investigating a fatal Listeria outbreak linked to Boar's Head deli meat. As of August 8, there have been 43 illnesses, 43 hospitalizations, and three deaths linked to the recall.
