A woman was left in total disbelief after making the discovery of a lifetime at a thrift store.

TikTok user @luckygirlthrift regularly scours vintage and thrift stores for the best finds, and while she's previously picked up incredible bargains, a recent discovery left her in "shock."

In a clip shared to her account on August 9, she records herself looking through rails before stopping at a stunning denim jacket.

First in awe of the "details" on the jacket, she then made a realization that she said made her "fall to my knees."

"Was taking a closer look at [it] and realized she wasn't just any other denim jacket," she wrote on the video.

The TikToker then zoomed in on the sewn tag on the inside of the denim, which revealed it was a Jean Paul Gaultier jacket.

As if by fate, she tried it on and it fit perfectly—and it cost her $15.

For some perspective, the same jacket is available on the Jean Paul Gaultier website for $860, with similar products also reaching the high hundreds, and one denim and shearling jacket costing an eye-watering $1860.

The French fashion designer's items have been worn by some of the world's biggest celebrities, most famously Madonna, whose iconic cone bra was designed by Gaultier himself.

The TikToker wrote in the caption to her video: "Still in shock honestly. WHO would donate this?"

The video reached 379,000 likes in just a few days, as one commenter joked: "You're on my rob list."

"Lucky thrift girl indeed," one user wrote, referencing the lucky shopper's username, as another declared: "You won the lottery."

"I would have died," someone else dramatically admitted.

The secondhand market has exploded in popularity in recent years, partly because of concerns around fast fashion and the introduction of online marketplaces such as Vinted and Depop.

In 2023, the global market value for secondhand and resale apparel was around $197 billion, and is projected to rise by another $100 billion by 2026, according to Statista.

User @luckygirlthrift regularly shares her finds online, and in the past has sent TikTok commenters into awe after discovering items from the likes of JNCO and Vivienne Tam.
