A bride has gained viral attention after she shared a hilarious expectation vs. reality video about her wedding day.

Hannah Harvey-Osborne, who is from the U.K., posted the clip on TikTok along with a promise she made to herself before the wedding. "I won't get too drunk at my wedding. I'll keep it classy," she joked.

In the video, Harvey-Osborne cuts from elegant professional wedding photos to lively footage of her dancing and having the time of her life—perhaps after a few too many drinks. "Also me," she captioned the second part of the clip.

"I remember thinking that I wanted to look my absolute best on my wedding day," Harvey-Osborne, who got married in Cyprus in 2023, told Newsweek. "When I saw those videos of me dancing and drinking without a care in the world, I thought it would be funny to do a before and after video. It made me laugh, and I wanted others to share that as well."

People were in stitches at the before and after footage, which has received more than 2 million views.

"Girl... as soon as the professional photos and formalities are done, GET IT! Have a ball," LNJ.23 wrote in the comments.

Yesenia praised the bride and wrote: "You still kept it classy in a fun way that I'm sure has a lot to do with why your husband fell in love with you and your fun personality."

"Love this," said Loridias13. "You look amazing and had a blast and that's what's even more amazing."

Harvey-Osborne was delighted by the reaction to the video. "[It is] unbelievable. I can't believe it took off as much as it did. I'm so shocked that it's had over 2 million views, but I've enjoyed watching it grow and reading all the lovely comments."

While alcohol is often part of celebrations, many couples avoid alcohol altogether at their celebration. According to Zola's 2024 Wedding Trends Report, over 4 percent of couples are planning a "dry wedding" with no alcohol on their special day.

In 2023, newlyweds Becky and Paul Cribdon told Newsweek how they banned alcohol from their wedding, describing the event as "cheaper and chiller" as a result.

Despite joking about what she said before her wedding—compared to what later happened—Harvey-Osborne said she had no regrets about her special day.

"No regrets at all. It was the best party, and everyone had such a brilliant time. I would do it all over again exactly the same way," she said.
