A video posted by @kelogwaffles has gone viral after a woman revealed how her parents came into her room after she told them what she was wearing to dinner—the exact same thing she had on. Since the video was posted on August 9, it has received 7.7 million views and 2.4 million likes.

"My parents, 10 minutes after I tell them I'm wearing a black shirt and white jeans for dinner," the creator captioned the video. "And yes, we went to dinner like this."

The video shows the creator's parents walking into her room with black tops and white bottoms, complete with knowing smiles.

People in the comments loved the hilarious effort by the parents to brighten their daughter's day, commending their commitment to presentation.

"I swear this walk and pose was natural, but looks rehearsed," @__iviesaur__ wrote.

"Mom said, 'We're matching and there's nothing you can do about it,'" @theuhmandashow wrote.

"Their love language is quality time and color coordinating," @gabrielacartagenaaa wrote.

Others said the short clip of the creator's parents clearly demonstrated a loving family vibe: "Your parents look so sweet, like the dad gives great hugs and the mom makes the best casserole from the bottom of her heart," @i.l.y.lord wrote.

"I love bestie parents," @momlifewithgab wrote.

Some could also relate. One person wrote that their mother always asks what she is wearing when they go out together, and then intentionally wears the same.

Another person shared a hilarious idea from their dad: "My mom and I told my dad we were wearing pink dresses, and he wore a pink dress with a wig to my award ceremony," @just.hanging7 wrote.

Not all dads are on board with the antics, though. Some noted a big resistance from their own fathers toward matching outfits—sometimes going to great lengths to ensure their individuality.

"My dad always has an extra shirt in the car in case someone wears the same color as him because he hates matching," @megs794 wrote.

"My dad freaks out when we look even remotely the same and changes immediately," @elz_44 wrote.

People also related from the parents' perspective, too—though for some, the gesture is starting a lot younger: "As a mom I genuinely do this and my husband too, we let our 2-year daughter chose her outfit then we both try to match her, it's so fun," @lil.anxietychan wrote.
